LHDP is looking for a training consultant to conduct the two days training on different themes of climate change in Mirpurkhas under its water rights project. The ToRs of the training are attached here for those who are interested to submit their proposal regarding the event. The last date for submission of the proposal is 19th December 2017.

Terms of Reference of Training on Different Themes of Climate Change
“Two Days Training on Climate Change”
Background: Laar Humanitarian and Development Program (LHDP) have planned to organize two days training on different themes of climate change under the water rights project in Mirpurkhas.  The main objective of organizing the training is to promote understanding of how efforts made at the local level can improve the environment, the agro-economy and the quality of life of growers, and the purpose of the training is to enhance the skills and capacity of participants as they maintain and manage their infrastructure and resources resilient.
Objectives of the Training:
  • To initiate strategies for climate change adaptation and mitigation  
  • Facilitate in thinking regarding ways to integrate sustainable methods in policy process at local level and to assist in designing SMART action plan 
Who will conduct?
LHDP is looking for an expert as a consultant firm/individual who will be responsible to deliver the training. The consultant would be hired through competitive process.

Duration:
Two days
1.      Development of training manual:
Consultant will be responsible to develop the training manual either in Sindhi or in English Language.
The material will be shared with project program manager for the approval.  He/she will have right to made amendment with mutual consensus of the trainer to meet the desired objective of the training





2.       Methodology:

Participatory and interactive methods are required to be adopted in training. The training would be based on group works, exercise and presentations.

3.       Reporting
·         A Comprehensive detailed report of the training would be prepared by trainer
·         First draft of the training would be shared with Program Manager for review and necessary changes
·         After the suggested amendments a final report would be shared in soft and hard version

4.       Evaluation of the training
Evaluation of the training would be focused on 2 levels knowledge of participants and delivering process of the trainer. This will be led by qualitative and quantitative methods of evaluation.

·         Work plan
·         Estimated budget that includes trainer remuneration and travel cost. Accommodation would be provided by LHDP.
